St. Patrick's Day month packages at Gavin's
Dates to be confirmed

Every March
A whole month of St. Patrick’s celebrations in the Irish Alps — and in 2027, Jack Gavin leads the East Durham parade as Grand Marshal.
How does Gavin’s celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? With a month of live Irish music, corned beef & cabbage and St. Patrick’s packages each March, plus the East Durham St. Patrick’s Parade. In 2027, Jack Gavin — first director of the East Durham Irish Festival — is Grand Marshal.
March at Gavin’s means St. Patrick’s Day Month: weekend music in the pub, Irish dance schools, corned beef and cabbage, and overnight packages built around the East Durham parade. In September we do it again for Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day.
Jack Gavin co-founded the East Durham Irish Festival in 1977 with Tom McGoldrick and the East Durham Vacationland Association and was its first Festival Director. In March 2027 he is honored as Grand Marshal of the East Durham St. Patrick’s Parade — the same year the festival he helped start turns 50. Read more in our history.
